Torchwood tonight: I know it probably shouldn't work this way (since tonight's episode was Cyberwoman) but I think I might be kind of in love with poor broken ignored Ianto. And this show. I don't think there's a character I dislike, in spite of the fact that they can all be sort of douchebaggy.
There's a Harry Potter post coming up after this one because honestly, I can't fit in everything I want to say about it and the picspam from the LA premiere in this post or nobody'll read the bloody thing.
OMG! New High School Musical 2 song! Oh Zac, ILU and your orange skin and silly spazzy dance moves. It sounds like they're using Zac's actual voice this time instead of mixing it with someone else's, which is nice. There's some more new videos: Road to HSM2 #2, the other new song What Time Is It (can you say poor man's Grease? Sure, I knew you could) and the trailer. In spite of that pink and powder blue outfit in clip 2, I'm still vaguely concerned that they're going to give Ryan a female love interest. That boy is gayer than Mardi Gras, but they look like they're trying to straighten him up with the baseball.

I have a feeling I'd be sorted into Gryffindor. I don't think I'd fit terribly well anywhere else.

I know I photographed my fancy vintage boots for that photo post, but my favourite shoes are my ugg boots because I'm a boring old homebody like that and without them I'd freeze in winter.
3. Did you write tortured poetry when you were a teenager?
I did not. I wrote fanfiction instead. Occasionally I wrote funny poetry for competitions, btu I wasn't really a tortured poetry kinda gal.
4. Would you go to the moon or explore the bottom of the ocean?
Probably the bottom of the ocean. I love water and the sea, I used to adore Seaquest DSV when I was a kid. The ocean's so strange and beautiful. The moon...there's just not much there.
5. Favorite weather.
Warm, if not hot. I don't mind the rain, either.

With Torchwood, I found I liked all the characters at first, I really did. Then... not so much.

At least this one's bi so if you can get over that whole "fictional" hurdle you've got a shot.
I'd like the show a lot more if the regulars weren't all idiots (come on, secret organization ordering Pizza under the org name and letting the delivery girl into the secret headquarters? Jesus Christ!). Also if Owen weren't an obnoxious whiny churlish date-rapist who every woman absolutely adores. What sort of sick self-insertion fantasy must he be? Or maybe Russel T Davies wrote him specifically to mock all women everywhere. "Ha! This is what you want, inferior Y-chromosome deficient beings! I'm not gay because I like men, I'm gay because I hate you."
I so wanted to love Torchwood. Really, I did. I thought Captain Jack was great and looked forward to him getting a spinoff. I thought Tosh was interesting and wanted to see her on screen for more than 17 seconds when she had that bit part in "Aliens of London/World War III." I thought the actress who played Gwen had been quite good in "The Unquiet Dead." All that, and instead we ended up with Torturewood. Oh, and if you think that pun is really REALLY bad -- they use it (or something almost exactly like it) on the show.

Owen's a date-rapist? I like the characters because they're all really flawed. I watch Doctor Who now too, but I think I prefer Torchwood.
