Do you sometimes feel like they have certain lines in the show just to add to the 'previously on' section the next week?

I like the pausing of the flashback action, but it's still a really dodgy storyline.
I thought HRG was about protecting others at first, but it seems he's just as dogged in protecting his own life. It's interesting, attacking an old man by taking his memories. Has some interesting Alzheimer's/dementia parallels.
