Oh, hey, so you know what's cool? The Departed winning Best Picture and Best Director, and Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna going to the Oscars together. I also liked the shadow dancers. SNAKES ON A PLANE.

Not so cool: NO AWARDS for Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth not winning Best Foreign, and Marky Mark not winning (even though he wasn't going to.) I thought he was one of the best parts of the show, just by sitting there.

Today I saw Twelve Mile Road

I missed the first few minutes because I just flicked on and happened to see it, then stuck with it because of my wife. Call me biased, but she completely carried the movie. It was great seeing her in a role so different to Shannon, and she did a beautiful job. Didn't hurt that Tom Selleck was playing her dad. It was pretty much your usual predictable midday fare but it had some harder edges and interesting settings and cinematography, and Maggie was really gorgeous in it. Have I mentioned that? It's probably borderline pedophilic, considering how old she was when she made it.

I love Diego Luna, man. ♥_♥ He's the only reason I own the second Dirty Dancing movie.

I wish Diego didn't have the facial hair. He looks better without it. Other than that, I was all bouncy when I saw them together.

Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna going to the Oscars together.

I squeed. I made a noise and it sounded like squee, when I saw them together.

I'm so excited about Rudo y Cursi (I remember it used to be called Toto). It's as if someone wanted to make my brain melt.

THEY ARE TOO PRETTY TO BE ALLOWED. I almost imploded when I realised they had turned up all together and beautiful.

Oh, Gael and Diego. How I love you both.

I am so excited about The Departed winning. I just didn't get all the buzz about Babel when I really only enjoyed one third of that movie.
