I am so deeply and incredibly broke.

I have about $100 in the bank and $5 in my pocket, so I'm thinking I may just go through with this job anyway even if I never get to see *anybody* (except maybe I will get to see Ramon tomorrow), just to afford the pile of Christmas presents, phone credit and the tshirt I bought today. Somehow I thought I had more money and fewer people to buy for than I did. It didn't help that I ended up buying the expensive options for most people. I really, really, really love Christmas and buying pressies for people (I'm a serious sap), even when I don't get any back, or if I get crappy ones. Then I spent the afternoon wrapping them and the night decorating the tree and sticking the presents under it.

I got an email from my old French teacher. "It would thrill me millions." Hee. It was cool to hear from her, and I emailed her back :D

The father of my best friend until I was about 10 died today, too. My mother says I should go to his funeral, because Michelle and I were friends as kids. We haven't seen each other in years. I feel terrible for her, but I don't know what the etiquette is for these things. It's a very weird feeling, I remember him a little but not much, and I've basically just heard about his cancer for about a year now from my parents. I wanted to talk about it with Tom but my parents were yelling at me. Arg.
