The first challenge of the new round just went up at lost_cast_lims and it's MY WIFE OMG!!!

Spent the day getting a haircut and Christmas shopping with Mum and Mitchell, and am all done, yay! I hope everybody likes their presents, I tried my best.

Dear idiots complaining about the Writers' Strike,

You wouldn't have shows to watch at all if it weren't for the writers. If you genuinely want your shows back on the air, throw your full support behind the writers and force the networks to get their asses in gear. Even if it's for your stupid selfish reasons.

I was going to watch a movie tonight, but I am too tired. However, I have not yet reviewed Waitress

This movie smacks of indie filmmaking. There's quirky-to-the-point-of-ridiculous characters, odd little looks, imaginary sequences, indie movie music. They weren't kidding when they called this the little indie movie that could. But it could, and it does, largely thanks to how completely beguiling Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion are (OMG I WANT ONE CAN I PLEASE HAS A NAKED FILLION FOR CHRISTMAS?!?!?!?) The movie goes pretty dark at times, which makes the humour and warmth more pronounced and palatable, like Jenna's ridiculously delectable pies. The kookiness serves to endear characters rather than distance them, and even the Big Bad Guy and the Perfect Romantic Guy are given some depth. The movie doesn't preach or pander to romcom norms, which is probably why everyone loved it so much - it offers something a little bit different. Also, I don't think I mentioned Nathan Fillion enough. I LOVE HIM. The end.

"Waitress" was a really cute movie. Completely indie, I agree, but overall very enjoyable. I WANT A NATHAN, TOO, PLEASE.
