I've discovered there's two movies that I saw in 2007 that I thought I'd reviewed, but hadn't. So here's reviews of what I remember of them.
The Tigger Movie
I probably just forgot to review this because I saw it at school with Luke. It's cheesy but sweet, as Pooh movies tend to be - shifting the focus to Tigger made it more energetic and fun, and Tigger's a more interesting character, but it was still a bit too twee for me. I feel like Tigger should be more badass, and I could see the message from the opening moments. I like that Tigger's sort of a lonely figure.

The Illusionist
It's...so green. Bizarrely green. And while The Prestige required a certain suspension of disbelief at the end, it had a real puzzle to it that was fun to think about. The Illusionist has huge problems with logic and 'science' that can't be explained away. Paul Giamatti, Ed Norton and Rufus Sewell are fun to watch (am I really the only person with a crush on him?) but Jessica Biel was completely miscast. Not only can't she act her way out of a paper bag, she looks and sounds hopelessly out of place in the period clothes. Fairly pedestrian direction, but GORGEOUS location shooting.
