Deathly Hallows to be split into two films released November 2010 and May 2011, directed by David Yates and written by that fuckwit Steve Kloves.

I am firmly in the hell-to-the-no camp on this one.

If only Stupid Kloves weren't the writer!!! I'm happy about it though. MORE POTTER FOR ME IS ALWAYS GOOD. ALWAYS.

Eh, I don't know. The shorter films (disregarding that Goblet of Fire bullshit) have been the better films for me. I like a good adaptation, and they've only made two good films so far. I also don't see why they're splitting the seventh movie, if not for money. All the others are in neat one-movie installments, and there's not SO much in the book that they couldn't possibly cover it in one movie.

Unless they're doing as I feared and barely covering the whole Horcrux issue in HBP. I mean, they cut out the Gaunts! Maybe they're going to have to actually explain things in the final film?

I'm...ok with it, I think. I mean, I'd prefer for it to just be a three-hour movie all in one, or a four-hour movie with an intermission rather than having to pay twice, but whatev. What does it matter when it's being written by that Ron-hating, Hermione/Harry shipping hack anyway?

I'm gonna side with you on this one - why tell one story over two movies? Especially with Steve Kloves writing; I was astounded how much better OotP was, then I twigged when I saw the writing credit...

At least Yates is (in my opinion) the best director thus far...

I'm okay with this, especially if the other option was making one movie with a lot of scenes cut out. Hate that Kloves is returning, though. Ugh.

My fear is Kloves, big time. They finally got Ron so right in OotP, specifically because Kloves wasn't writing him. Bah.

I'm alright with Yates. BUT FUCKITY-FUUUUCCKK ... KLOVES?!?!?! I guess we'll be seeing Hermione groping Harry even when she is making out with Ron. >:|

I could be okay with the 2-films thing.

But certainly not okay with the Yates AND ESPECIALLY NOT WITH THE KLOVES.

I have a feeling the Ron/Hermione kiss will SOMEHOW get cut anyway. Stupid Kloves.

I'm right there next to you. Let's make s'mores.

The only thing i don't like about it is Steve Kloves writing it. But otherwise, I'm all for it. I mean, David Yates is directing, right? Hopefully he won't let it drag on so I'll shoot myself in the foot. I just hope since it's a two-parter, the Gaunts will be in it since they're cutting them out in the 6th one.

Also, a really selfish part of me is not ready to officially say goodbye to the series. *wails*

It's just ... Steve Kloves öajkjdf *sigh* Oh well... they can't ruin the series that much for me anymore. They did that with Goblet of Fire *lol*

I think they're splitting it because they have to do so much explaining of things they missed to tell the audience in movie 1-6 (and ... the money, of course )
