I had lunch with Mitchell and Colin today. We're thinking of going to the snow this year. Could be fun, although I kind of...hate snow. Still, Mitchell's never seen it.

Cute Dom bit: Dominic Monaghan puts the 'bug' in 'shutterbug'. MAGGIE! His love of bugs will be the death of me, I swear. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE BUGS?

Faraday mood theme! I am sorely tempted. Also, I want a new header. Not necessarily Faraday, preferably Dom, but...my header muse has abandoned me :( anyone know of a good header-maker willing to do commissions? Or a tutorial?

Oh, come on, LiveJournal. I mean, getting rid of basic accounts is bad enough, but trying to hide it and spin it is downright stupid. LiveJournal users aren't idiots, as we have proven many times.

Eh, at least we know when we're being treated like five year olds. You probably have better knowledge of it than me, though, I only pay attention when they fuck up.

I think the mistake a lot of people make is assuming that because they're not an idiot and they have no problem understanding [insert whatever LJ is changing "for the better" here], everyone else is also smart enough to understand. I haven't spent any time on the LJ Support boards, but if you take a look at the kinds of questions that get asked there or talk to any of the Support Volunteers, there are boatloads of really basic things that people can't seem to grasp and apparently the difference between account levels is now one of them. [I don't think it makes sense to get rid of the account level just because people are confused, of course, because that doesn't make any sense. Disguising a business decision as "improved userface design" is a little disingenuous.]

I agree on the whole bug thing. The fact that he had a Black Widow Spider as a pet in his house ON PURPOSE makes me shudder just thinking about it. I hate those things...:-P I loved the bit with Evie though...no wonder they get along so well...*snerks*

Aww, I love the Faraday mood theme but I think I will wait a few more weeks until a few more episodes have aired. I hope somebody will make a new mood theme then.

I miss so much on LJ. They really want to get rid of paid accounts? Is that 100% sure because that would suck.
