I've watched all of season 1 of Gilmore Girls, and I madly love Lorelai. She's crazy and hilarious and I love everything she says. Luke wrestling with Dean outside the diner had me in stitches. Also, I hate very few characters the way I hate Emily.

Stanhope pressures PM on gay unions. VERY exciting, positive stuff for the campaign :D

An interesting and well thought-out BSG Last Supper code crack. I think the main theory has been denied a lot, but it's still a cool investigation.
ETA: Oh, wow. Pictures of Trucco right after his accident. Scary shit, the fact that he's back on the show and doing fine is reeeally impressive.

Cute Torchwood icons.

Amusing anecdote about David Duchovny (why won't you love me) disliking Scientology. I always thought Duchovny was cool.

Joss Whedon's top ten moments according to Ben of Geek!

New Muhney interview in which he is unfailingly lovely, as always, and his answer to question 13 makes me want to SOB DESPERATELY. NOT FAIR. He throws in a Dollhouse mention, which, I still hold out hope that he'll get SOMETHING on that show. He can't not. It's fate, I tell you! Fate, or I will make it happen by force of will.

5. "I laugh in the face of danger! Then I hide until it goes away." - BtVS

Uh, they were genuinely the first five that came to mind. Pretty much all the quotes that float around in my mind most of the time are from Buffy. I think Buffy was the most formative show for my speech patterns in general.

Last night I saw Gin Gwai

I assume SBS aired this because the remake was on in cinemas. It was a passable horror flick, it had some really good scares in it and a good build of tension. The visuals were, as one would expect based on the premise, pretty good. I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but I found the use of music jarring - it wasn't a unified score, in a way, the music reflected the mood of the characters but not the movie. Also, what's with all the young, attractive doctors who can't act? My biggest issue was that the girl got a cornea implant but could also hear and touch the ghosts, which doesn't make any sense. She adjusted surprisingly quickly to having sight. The ending was a bit too tidy, too, but this is a horror movie and maybe I was expecting too much. It raised some interesting questions about the meaning of vision and what we see.

Luke wrestling with Dean outside the diner had me in stitches.

TRUCCO! OMG, that scar is brutal looking. I'm so glad he's ok. I recently read that he broke his neck in the same place that Christopher Reeve broke his in. He's incredibly lucky to be left with just the scar.

Yeah Emily was kind of annoying Season 1 but she gets all sorts of awesome as the series progresses. Not as awesome as Paris but pretty darn close.

She very much is in the first season but as the series progresses she becomes a lot more sympathetic and wonderful. That's the best thing about Gilmore Girls the characters all have growth arcs but do still stay the same characters at heart none of the growth is horrendous or out of character really.

Oh wow, I didn't know you had never seen Gilmore Girls!

The meme is so cool. *steals*
