HAPPY BIRTHDAY
speakerwiggin!
I'm going to do all the alphabet meme letters in different posts - I'll probably do a few like this, and then some will get their own post, and some might get put together into another post. Today, A.
Anna Banana
This is the first song I found by Chris Lowell's band, Two Shots for Poe. To be honest, the first time I heard it I didn't really like it. I think it was more the fact that it was a slightly dodgy recording of a live performance, and how strong Chris's voice is, that annoyed me - which is probably because it's live. Once I got past that, though, I got taken in by it. It's cute and cheeky and catchy, and Chris talking is about the cutest thing EVER. Light show! I like his voice, and I like the simple style of it. Well, like might be an undestatement as it's apparently my 6th most played song in my collection.
'Ghostfacers' was on TV tonight here, and Tom and Melissa were over so we all watched it together. They loved it, which makes me think fandom's the only place it's hated. Awesome, awesome episode. We also watched The Emperor's New Groove and The Faculty, because we're cool like that. Faculty has an impressive cast, by the way.
Dom to appear in movie with Evi?
I like these icons.
X-Files: I Want to Believe trailer. I'm having trouble watching Billy Connelly and not laughing.
Details on Robert Pattinson's upcoming Dali role.
Buffy academic conference.
Maggie was at some event re-blonded (it's a word...now) with Emilie de Ravin, but the only unlocked post I can find is
mata090680's here.
hires_hotties and
kerrsmith2306 also have images.
I saw these on the movie channels over the last little while but forgot to review them (mostly because they're not that great):
Final Destination 3
Cliched dross starring people called things like Crystal and Kris and Ecstasia and Texas (and, for reasons I can't fathom, Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and featuring charming pointless boob shots and random gore. Avoid if possible.

Where the Truth Lies
This took a twisted, confusing and convoluted path to a resolution that was pretty simple and probably didn't need that much explanation, and I came away from it feeling slightly seedy more than anything else. I think that there was a lot of fuss about it getting an NC-17 rating (which, frankly, is ridiculous - there's no more sex in it than most R-rated movies featuring sex, I think there was a bias against it because of a threesome involving two men.) Without that, I doubt anyone would bother - forgettable title, forgettable lead actress, and forgettable movie. Kevin Bacon got to have some good Kevin Bacon fun, though.
