Bahaha, how is Joss so consistently brilliant and funny? More snippets about Doc Horrible, though not of the 'Gee, I didn't see THAT coming!' variety. In other words, no spoilers, unless you didn't know it was a musical, in which case, have a nice life under that rock. Also, Ausiello has the info on the DVD, plus (the first?) Dr. Horrible review! WOO.
I'm working my way through the current series of Doctor Who. Not that I've seen much of the previous three, I suppose I should rent them or download them sometime, but I've heard this season exploded some people's head and features Ianto, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Clea DuVall joins Ron Moore's new show 'Virtuality'. Now I'm excited!
Hub's 'Boys of Battlestar' convention has moved to next February/March, so I'll probably be able to go now! YAY.
Uh, no Daily Dom today, because there's another event spam coming your way pretty soon.
ETA, forgot! Tonight I watched Little Shop of Horrors
...I don't get it. It was sort of like Rocky Horror Picture Show without all the fun gender-fuckery that makes RHPS a classic to my mind, and it was largely populated with comedians who couldn't sing (well, until Ellen Greene started belting it out, slipping in and out of her little girly voice.) There were parts of it that I thought were campy fun, but for the most part I was just scratching my head. I guess this is one camp musical classic I'm missing the appeal of. Possibly the only one.
With this I've seen 46 movies at the year's halfway point, which is pretty good, only four behind. I think I'm on track :)

Clea?? AWESOMESAUCE.
Aww, you know, it was hard for me to get into LSoH at first. But it's quite brilliant. I'd watch some people perform the numbers online and then watched the movie once again about a year later. And I enjoyed it a lot more. It really is campy fun. I'd say it, Hedwig and Sweeney are the best stage-to-film adaptations since Cabaret. (Sweeney edging in front of the other 2, though.)

HAIRSPRAY.

haha Sorry. Hairspray really is a great stage-to-film adaptation, it is, but it comes after those 3 [for me]. Right along with Chicago. And Dreamgirls comes behind those, but quite a bit behind. Then Rent waaay behind that one.... though, I'm not sure which was worse, Rent or Phantom.

LOL you know I met Bambi and I'm supposed to meet James Callis in December? we should really start passing notes through celebrities
YES THERE IS IANTO AND IT'S GOOOOOD
if you haven't seen the first three seasons, your head won't explode that much though as it's mainly because so many characters are returning (which was the least well-kept secret in the history of spoilers lol)
ooooh I like Clea DuVall! it always seems like she's a guest or recurring character in anything I saw with her though

LMAO we win! You have to give me Tahmoh, though, dude.
I know all the characters and about them returning.
