1. Jason Mraz concert on Saturday night was very good, I enjoyed it. He's a good performer, and was on stage for a good 2 hours, which is pretty damn impressive.

2. Wow, NOT a good year for celebrities! Two more gone, with Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes.

3. *facepalm* sorry about the last post. I posted it in [livejournal.com profile] iconstant after the original mistake...and forgot to delete the one in this journal. Oops.

4. Olympics! I wish the Australian footage showed more of the sports that are, you know, interesting, not just the sports that Australians are in. Gymnastics ftw! I don't mind a bit of swimming, but I swear, Aussie footage is All Swimming All the Time. Unless you watch SBS, which tends to be somewhat eclectic.

thats what I'm loving about watching it from OS. I swear when you watch the Channel 7 Olympic coverage even the viewers fingers start to prune.

1. I'm jealous you got to see Jason Mraz. The ticket prices for his shows here are ridic.

2. I know! So sad!

4. Olympics: Ian Thorpe retired?! He was the only real reason I wanted to watch swimming. :( (I can't remember...do you hate him? LOL). Michael Phelps kinda irritates me. Also, the US Gymnastics team kinda failed all around in the qualifying round. They still came in second, and will continue to compete, but they all fell or landed out of bounds at one point or another or had injuries and it hurt them. China's gymnastics team did pretty well overall.

Nah, I don't hate Ian Thorpe. I don't care much about him, really. I met him once. Tall.

I saw China and a bit of Australia in the women's Gymnastics, but that's about it.

Oh, and Jason was pretty affordable here, $60-ish. Well worth it.

Oh, all I have seen is the swimming, as well.

I had no idea that so many strokes were Olympic events.

if we have the special cable or satellite packages here, we have a lot to choose from, and can get more than ever this year online. I would love to be able to access commentary and feeds from other countries though. Well, UK or Aussie or maybe German, I don't speak anything else well enough to follow commentary.

Diving is totally my favourite Olympic sport for obvious reasons :P

You should check out mens water polo - boys with swimmers bodies in speedos groping each other in full view of the underwater camera :D

*G* Yeah... the American announcers mention how swimming-obsessed you Aussies are - *S*.
