Does anyone know where I can find screencaps from 'The Broken Hearts Club'? I can make them myself if I have to, I need caps for the boykissing spam.
Okay, look, Gareth David-Lloyd is popping up at EVERY BLOODY CONVENTION these days. Surely one of you must be going to a convention at SOME point where you can say hi for me?? Pleeeeeease? I'll make you cookies! And...send them. Okay, maybe not. But still.
Joss Whedon on the topic of The Sky Bully. That last question was from the Q&A I went to! It was actually 'I'm a Christian, what do you have against me?' and Joss responded first with 'Let's get this clear, it's entirely about you' or something to that effect.
Felicia Day performs Still Alive with Jonathan Coulton at PAX. And then she gets a surprise Bad Horse chorus!
New James Gunn project starring Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk & Michael Rosenbaum? Um YES PLEASE.
Oh, and Sean Gunn! LOL!
Advocate article on 'I Love You Philip Morris'. I'm looking forward to this movie.
A couple of days ago I saw (and forgot to review) PrĂȘte-moi ta main
I actually like the English title better, for once. Anyway. This is a pretty solid romantic comedy from the French, a bit different to the normal American fare. I kind of hated the lead character, but Charlotte Gainsbourg is lovely and charming, and there were quite a few really genuine laughs (I loved the foul-mouthed parrot.) I also thought that it was shot quite beautifully - it wasn't by-the-numbers romantic comedy direction (shot, counter-shot) but there was a lot of feeling to it.

Then tonight I went to the movies with
melissajane14,
tuatha_de, Aaron and Erica (by the way, AUGH COUPLES) and we saw Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Well, it's not going to be winning any acting or script awards any time soon, but holy crap does Guillermo del Toro have a beautiful vision. The creatures are really, truly magical, and the mix of make-up/puppetry with special effects always looks fabulous when he does it. Only problem is the makeup tends to be a bit restrictive, particularly around the mouth, which I noticed. There's a significant enough number of cheesy lines and a predictable enough plot that this movie wasn't quite there for me, but it had its moments. The fight scenes were amAzing, and there's a few really funny moments, mostly from Abe Sapien, who gets a pretty decent role in this one. Unfortunately, Liz is a bit boring. The bad guys are really quite interesting and they have a point, in their way, which is nice to see.
