[livejournal.com profile] nentari gave me

1. Helo

Helo is hot. I will get that out of the way first. Helo is deeply, deeply attractive. He has cute little elf ears and OMG!ARMS and he's tall. He's also the gentlest, kindest soul on Battlestar Galactica, and he acts as the fleet's conscience. I have seen a lot of theorising that this is because he was the first human to (knowingly) love a Cylon, but I he was the first human to accept a Cylon as a being with feelings as acute as a human's and give his love to one because he IS such a good person. He always does the right thing, no matter how it might negatively affect him. Also, hot.

2. Hiro Nakamura

I love Hiro because he's so positive - he takes on this hero's journey and doesn't let anything get in the way of doing what he thinks is right. Hiro's such a geek, which is cool to see, but he's also one of very few characters on Heroes to completely embrace his power and make the decision to use it to the best of his ability for good.

3. Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes

Lost would probably be really difficult to watch without Hurley, because he is the funny, good-hearted, friendly soul of the show. He keeps everybody else in check, keeps them relatable by their relationships with him. He's such a sweetheart. Also, I loved the friendship between Hurley and Charlie, which was one of few lasting non-romantic alliances on Lost.

4. Harry Potter

I had trouble picking between Harry and Hermione for this spot, but I've gone off Hermione a bit since Deathly Hallows and the increasingly terrible performances from Emma Watson in the movies. Daniel Radcliffe, on the other hand, actually seems to be getting better. Harry is such an internal character, the usual reluctant leader with a hero complex, but I really like Harry. I've been more or less with him, on his side, for the entire journey he went on throughout the books, and I admire his courage and the fierce loyalty he develops by book 7. He has his moments of teen angst, but that seems fair as he's, you know, a teenager. He has such a great fighting spirit.

5. Haldir

Okay, I was running out of characters whose names start with H. There are surprisingly few. Also, Craig Parker is gorgeous and fabulous and I love him, and Haldir at least gets the honour of being The Big Death at the Battle of Helm's Deep.

Helo is amazingly hot - but that could be said about anyone on the Galactica crew; there must be something in the water on that ship that gives off super-hotness-inducing radiation or something. But oh, Helo. Even though it's Lee who gets to give the big speeches and keep Roslin's power in check, Helo can be my moral compass any day.

Also, hit me!

Lee is self-righteous, though, and hasn't ever really seen the Cylons as 'people', if you know what I mean. Helo is amazing.

How about J.

Love your choices. Okay, that was predictible.
a few days ago I was bored and was reading posts at <lj comm="fandomsecrets"W and someone posted one about loving Helo and I was like "wut? how can THIS be a secret? I don't get it!" anyway... can I get a letter please? ;)

I love your choices - and I'm sorry it was so hard for you.

Anyway, pick me a letter, please. I don't mind doing this again. :)

It's ok! It occurred to me afterwards that I could have stretched it and included Captain Hammer and Dr. Horrible. Oh well.

Your letter is N.

Helo's moral compass is probably one of my favourite things on BSG.

I'll take a letter.

I think Haldir is the perfect 5-course finisher. You know, like the cheese plate or whatever.

May I please have a letter?
