I do *not* teleport!
Just because I happen to lag behind occasionally and then people don't see me go around a car or stop for people, and then they turn around and I'm not behind them, and then they turn around again a few seconds later and I've caught up, does *not* mean I'm good at teleporting!
;) So. Today I got up, had the flu, vaccuumed, took a headache tablet that works for 6 hours, went to uni. had half an interesting lecture on the war and John bloody Howard and how it relates to Asian Studies ("Us" and "Them" mentality: he said Australia is a Western country with Western values and what's why we're a target. In the same speech he said that Muslim Australians are a "treasured" part of our community and we should extend the hand of mateship. Self-contradictory moron. I mean that in the sense of his being a hypocrite, not against Muslims, coz they're cool. JH isn't.), had half a boring lecture on Asian Studies otherwise, hung out with Phoebe, Tom and Nina all afternoon playing pool, foosball and air hockey and reading House of Usher (YAY!) and eating sushi (get better Nina :S), came home, taped Cruel Intentions for Tom, watched Scooby Doo and finally watched various docos on Lord of the Rings from the extended DVD. Not enough hugging for my liking.
Scooby Doo has exactly 4 funny moments:
1. "Sit Grandma. Bad Grandma. Don't eat the kitty!"
2. "Phone call for a Mr. Doo.
"Melvin Doo?"
"No, Scooby."
3. The scene where there protoplasmic selves go into the wrong bodies. I've seen many, many actors try to play each other, and I have to say this lot did it surprisngly well, esp. SMG and FPJ. On a somewhat related note, Dominic Monaghan does brilliant impressions, and can perfectly imitate the voices and accents of most of his castmates. (Strem of consciousness? Yeah, okay.)
4. Mondavarius:"I have a very important job for you."
Scooby:"What's this?
Mondavarius:"It's a cat with a bobbing head. Don't touch it." You kinda have to see this scene to understand. Also, Colin has a dog with a bobbing head at his house, which I proceeded to watch bob up and down for about 5 minutes before he got sick of it.
Hair update: Piss green, as I had feared. People still seem to like it. Wonder if they'll still like it when it's just bleached?
Link of the day is X h a l e S l o w l y (I hope I got that right), a Queer as Folk site made brilliant by the fact that it has video and audio, as well as something close to an interest in the character of Ethan. (Site's made by a guy called Ethan. Dunno if there's a connection.)
Pics of the day are a special pic for angelnurse (btw an, please go ahead and tell me ALL about season 3, WITH spoilers! I already know a fair bit), and then as promised before my anti-war protest, some Justin/Ethan.
