Sean Astin didn't get nominated for Return of the King, which isn't surprising but it still deeply disappointing. I'm very disappointed. Still, here's hoping for a sweep in the nominated categories, esp. Best Picture.
I'm rooting for Johnny Depp for Best Actor, though I know he won't get it. After him, Bill Murray. They're both unusually comedic roles for Best Actor noms, so I look forward to seeing Oscar's reaction. I'm still really pissed about Sean though, he bloody well deserves it.
Some interesting choices in the Best Supporting Actress noms too (and the kid from Whale Rider for Best Actress is just a mad choice.) If RotK doesn't get Best Picture, I'm sending the plagues to the Academy, one by one, until they correct their mistake.
Elijah Wood has ridiculously good posture.
Went to Lea's tonight, w/ Ben and Ajda. Watched Finding Nemo today. I LOVE it. The DVD features aren't terrific but I like the virtual aquarium idea. They also have Rove's voice session and it's just so cute. But yeah, I still love that movie. My favourite parts are speaking whale, and the seagulls.
Go here and vote, please. If you'll remember, almost the exact same thing was done on some family values website recently, and we managed to sway that vote so well that in the end both "civil union" and "gay marriage" were at least double "no marriage."
Why didn't anybody ever tell me that Hetty Wainthropp was Hyacinth Bucket?!?!
