I love Firefly so much. Also, Simon is enormously underrated as a character. He is totally my favourite this time I'm watching, except of course for Zoe, who always, always wins. I also love YoSaffBridge. I'm only halfway through and already I'm feeling the sting of the cancellation, and the end drawing nearer. It hurts even more now that Pushing Daisies has been cancelled. I think a mark of a show that really has an impact on a person is how many times they go back and watch it after it's finished. Firefly's a bit different since I only discovered it after it was already cancelled, but I watch it so often. I have a feeling Pushing Daisies will be one I'll keep coming back to as well. Not fair!

I had a birthday party last night! It was for me and Mitchell, it was wonderful, and my friends gave me $410 for my conventions! Not bad, considering there were only about 10 people here. Photos are already up on Facebook, I might post them here later.

Ditto all of this. (re: Firefly)

And whoa, wait, when's your birthday??

Every time I watch Firefly, which is a lot, I am just blown away with how much I love it. I know how much I love it, but it just hits me anew every time. How much I love every single one of these characters and this show.
And yes, I have a feeling PD will be kind of similar when rewatching. I think I already watched S1 more than any other newer show over the hiatus, but that was, of course, without the "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy do people suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck??" feeling of cancellation. It will be a different experience next time I see it, but I know I will rewatch it many times.

Hurray for birthday parties last night! :D And woah, that is a really good haul from 10 people O_o

I'm still not totally sold on Inara or Book. Book because Ron Glass still scares me and Inara just bugs me as a character. Everybody else, though, I love, and I love River a lot more this time around.

I don't love them like I love the others, but I find Book terribly intriguing and I like Inara. But yeah, not the big stab of love I get for everyone else.

Oh man I wish I hadn't given my DVDs to a friend now, I really want to watch :(

given = lent, obviously. not permanently given. *shudders at the concept*

I watched the pilot with my uncle last weekend and I always see that but not the rest of the show, so I decided to watch it through again. SO GOOD.

Book is intriguing. Just scary.

WORD. I find I'll go quite a while without watching or thinking about Firefly, then I'll suddenly feel the need to rewatch it and I'm sucked back in. I'll completely forget why I love it and how amazing it is and then I have marathons and fall in love all over again. I haven't had time for a full rewatch, but I've watched a few episodes over dinner lately and I think this time through I'm rediscovering how awesome Jayne is.

The world is a cruel place for not letting Firefly flourish for years and years :(

Simon has ALWAYS been my favorite character, always always. I have buckets of affection for everyone, obviously, particularly Mal and River, but... SIMON. He's so fierce and determined and brilliant and loving, yet geeky awkward at the same time. Faaavorite. :)
