I got a text message from a friend today saying "'Dark Knight' was released a day early! It's like my non-religious version of the second coming of Jesus." I LOLed.

People might be able to see 'I Sell the Dead' right after it debuts at Slamdance.

Chris Lowell was on Bonnie Hunt's show; we Chris fans are desperately seeking an upload. Can anyone help?

Apparently a new Beatles song is being released.

RPattz looking unwashed, but also awesome.

More badly 'shopped Lost promos. FARADAAAAAAAY. Also, where is Sayid?

Eliza talks Dollhouse and Nobel Son...er, again.

Bigger pics of the event with Paddywhack and the puppy with wheels.

Jensen's audition as Sam! Unfortunately, no footage of Kim Manners' audition has turned up.

Has anyone heard about/seen Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom or the original? I have a stunning photo from the original and would kill for some boykissing shots.

Brothers Bloom! I can't wait to see this one.

The outline for Hairspray 2 makes me want to cry a little.

Tonight I went to the movies with a friend from work and we saw High School Musical 3: Senior Year

The score given to this on IMDb is really quite unfair. It's actually really pretty good, and lightyears ahead of the first two (especially the second one, which was an exercise in futility - you could remove it from the series and it would make absolutely no difference, except that the world would never have been exposed to the sheer glory that is Bet On It.) The musical numbers are...catchy, if not original, and the dance numbers are pretty good. I'd say the best numbers are Sharpay and Ryan's and 'The Boys are Back', which was remarkably kick-ass and sweet at the same time. Damn if Zefron isn't the dorkiest hotass currently gracing the big screen - they've toned down the really dodgy moves a lot even since the last one, but he still finds time to bring them out every now and then. He still has bucketloads more charisma than nearly everyone else in the movie, though. I think it should've been titled "High School Musical 3: Everyone Loves Troy Bolton". Chad and Gabriella did everything but slap each other and pull each other's hair to get him to stay close to them, which I think they might've done if they had any scenes together. The new kids were all madly in love with him. Even his parents had weird pseudo-crushes going on. Man, that fat cheerleader can fill out a uniform. She looked fantastic. And I still want to kill Gabriella every time she giggles.

I was a little miffed by Ryan and Kelsi befriending each other, because I'm unsure of whether they were hinting at a relationship there. However, I would also like to take back my statements that he is the gayest thing ever to grace a Disney movie, having seen the new kid with his enormous crush on the Zefron and THAT OUTFIT. WITH THE SPARKLY PINK HAT. NOT EVEN RYAN HAD THE SKILLZ TO ATTEMPT A SPARKLY PINK TOP HAT. I really hate that Sharpay basically went through exactly the same character arc in every movie, and I felt the movie would've benefitted from far less contradiction and more focus on people other than Troy and Gabriella. That said, it was enjoyable and cheesy and fun, and even had one or two lines that weren't so much clunkers as actually funny. Like, on their own. Oh, except, I hated the stupidity of having what we've just seen repeated in the end-of-term musical. Um, what?!

John Waters made Edna skinny? Um, did he not ever hear the original musical? "'Cos I like the way I am. And you just can't stop my knife and fork when I see a Christmas ham." Link experimenting with drugs actually has me amused, but that's no plot. Hm, I hope this article was a joke and MTV missed it.

That Hairpray 2 synopsis made me want to throw-up. Ummm, no. WORLDS of no.

I'm so excited you finally got to see HSM3!!! And you're right, the stories have completely become all about the awesomeness of Troy. :)

I think it sounds better than the first musical. More of the John Waters edge that got bled out of the production. I mean even if the original Hairspray (probably the least edgy thing he'd ever done up to that point) was more out there than the musical version.

First, it occurs to me to just say thank you for compiling all these awesome links all the time! It really helps me keep up with stuff that I don't follow too closely.

Second, for the "Jensen's audition as Sam" link, did you use the wrong link by accident? Or is there a joke going over my head? Haha.

I think the Hetty people could have done a better job of putting Dom in drag. He does have great skinny legs doesn't he?

That SPN link, oh man. I can't even believe it, haha...

I agree, I'd like to see it done better, but he looks good in that skirt!

I'm glad you like them :)

I don't know, it seems to work for some people and not others.

It's hard to say he shouldn't do it, since he originally wrote the first one, but...ugh.

Considering that he didn't manage to make a good musical of Cry-Baby on Broadway when the thing was basically its own musical on film tells me the guy might be losing his touch.
