How do you pronounce Levi, as in Zachary, not as in jeans? Also, did you all know about The Gospel According To Ceiling Cat?

Hey [livejournal.com profile] leishpod, I found an icon for you. 64. Meant to be fandom-specific, I think, but clearly flexible ;)

New Dollhouse TV spot! Linked with this:
29 days until a new Joss Whedon TV series, folks.
I AM SO EXCITED.

Harry Lennix discusses the Dollhouse set. I love that he played Tony Head's character on 'Little Britain USA' and now he's playing the watcher-figure on Dollhouse.

Look at that fine-looking cast.

Since Levi is actually his middle name, I'd bet that it's pronounced the way Levi Jeans is pronounced. His birth name is Zachary Levi Pugh.

I was watching VH1 at some point and they pronounced it Lee-vee... But I have no idea if that is accurate.

I just saw Zachary Levi on a talk show, and my friend Warren knows him from both of them working on the Warner Bros. lot, so I can say for a fact that it's Levi, like the jeans.

He's so pretty.

Apparently his birth name is Zachary Levi Pugh. So, I get why he dropped the last name.

He's adorable. I prefer Awesome though :D

Well if you pronounce it properly (and by properly I mean the israeli way) it would Le-vi. Quite simple really. Though I'm sure he pronounces it differently since I've never met or heard of an american who pronounces that name in the israeli way.

Not really. There are lots of ways to pronounce either of those sounds. In fact, in English, 'le' isn't really a sound by itself usually. Is it lee-vie, or leh-vee, or something else? Inquiring minds want to know!

Pronunciation is a tricky game. I still say the easiest language to pronounce is Japanese, once you get the hang of it, because all the vowel sounds are always exactly the same.

And thank you!
