I have this awesome Veronica Mars bag, and I've been wanting to buy another one from the girl who made it, but I can't find the link to save myself and searches are turning up nothing. Does anyone know where the bags are? I know they're messenger bags and tote bags, and one has a Big Damn Heroes motif...anyone?
I can't believe
baldie_troll and
thistler got back together and didn't tell me about it. I am cross. It was Squishy's birthday...well, Friday, but we hung out yesterday and watched 'Dollhouse', 'Battlestar Galactica' and 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist' before going out with friends for dinner. It was good. I would've enjoyed the evening part more had I not gotten horrendously drunk at
melissajane14's the night before.

Movies I've seen recently:
Giant
This is a hell of a long movie, and I found the first half of it to be borderline boring, with the obvious exception of every scene James Dean was in. I felt that it picked up in the second half, with everyone aged up (mostly badly) and confronted with their own prejudices. James Dean is astonishing, particularly in this part, proving that it's not the make-up and special effects that make a convincing older performance - it's the acting. He was utterly convincing as a many twice his age. I find Rock Hudson pretty boring, and really, this movie was very long. There was a lot of stuff that didn't advance the movie in any way. Interesting to see Sal Mineo in a small role.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
As a diehard non romantic comedy fan, I have to say I thought this was pretty good. The love story was sweet (and their hang-ups about their exes are interesting and realistic), the supporting characters were funny, and the film moved at a good enough click not to slump and become boring or too cliched. I kind of loved the gay boys (real shocker, I know), and Jamie and I were quoting the movie at each other a bit afterwards - a sure sign that something has had an effect. I think I would've probably enjoyed it more if I had any interest whatsoever in indie music or music culture.
