I bought an external hard drive! I named it November, and today I have been copying all my videos over to it so my computer can finally function again.

[livejournal.com profile] dekolette has pics of Chris Lowell at an Invisible Children fundraiser in New York, and [livejournal.com profile] mata090680 has Kristen and Ryan at a corresponding event in LA. This is the one from Chris's 'Come to the Rescue' videos, by the way. I don't know if Taye Diggs went, but Sue from LAWKI is at the LA one.

ETA: It appears Dom was at the London version of the same event!

[livejournal.com profile] dekolette also has an adorable Dell picspam from the most recent Private Practice episode. Spoilers, natch.

Fran Kranz talks some slight spoilers about Topher. He sort of touches on this, but the way Topher acted under the influence of the drug, which destroyed people's inhibitions, kind of signified to me that he doesn't actually have many of those blocks. Topher is just Topher, all the time - he says what he thinks and does what he wants. Also, Dollhouse at Paley (if Eliza, Dichen and Miracle were any prettier the show would implode) and Joss's Bradbury award acceptance speech (LOL).
Finally, Save Dollhouse PSA 2!

Top 10 Disguises Worn by Adam Baldwin on Chuck. Hee. Adam Baldwin is a cool, cool dude. And, since this is today for the Americans (I think), buy a footlong to help save Chuck!

Australian Fans to See Theatrical Re-Release of Harry Potter Films Before Half-Blood Prince. I'm totally up for seeing Prisoner of Azkaban at the cinema again, that movie is beautiful.

Yesterday I went to the movies and saw Let the Right One In

Admittedly, the little subsection of the movie-going community is quite a select group with different interests to most movie-goers, but I had heard that this was The Best Movie of 2009 from a few different people, so I was anxious and excited to see it. It was very good, but I still like Slumdog Millionaire better. I'm more an upbeat kinda gal.

Let the Right One In is a wonderfully unconventional vampire movie. I loved Oskar and Eli's fumbling, awkward, sweet relationship, and how he barely bats an eyelid at finding out who and what she is, in more ways than one. The movie was absolutely stunning, with terrific music and the best shifting focus close-ups I think I've ever seen. The bullying stuff made me uncomfortable, and I felt like there were some sections that were more distracting than contributing to the plot and the characters. Also, why doesn't anyone dress warmly enough in Sweden? I was cold just WATCHING this movie.

I did particularly like the animalistic nature of Eli when she was hungry/in her game face, and what happened to her when she came in without being invited. I also liked the woman who was turned into a vampire, and the more...unflinching and accepting view of death this movie has compared to a lot of others, which tend to both shy away from and sexualise the vampire attacks.

Video of Chris if you are interested.

He only says like one sentence though. But still, it's Chris.
Thanks for linking btw ♥

I read the tweet about Dom being in London. I find it strange that there no pictures of him though and nobody mentioned him rescuing London on the Rescue site.
