Muhney's new role? Replacing another actor on 'The Young and the Restless'.

I wasn't too keen at first. Then I discovered the other actor had a hissy fit and left BECAUSE OF BOYKISSING.

Which means Muhney's new role might involve him kissing other boys and being a sexy psychopath. I'm suddenly that much more interested. It looks like I'm going to have to start watching a soap.

Y&R is the #1 soap ratings-wise and it's actually generally a good quality soap. So at least Muhney didn't get a gig on... say, Bold & Beautiful or AMC. Two of the crappiest soaps these days, and yet somehow they snagged Emmys galore. >:|

Yes, I'm bitter because these two lovely ladies didn't get diddly squat. Nor did GL in general, which is without a doubt the best soap right now. The writing has been phenomenal lately. And Liv/Nat are a freakin' SUPERCOUPLE in the making. Like General Hospital's Luke/Laura. They're that huge of a deal. I hope Muhney's storyline is as meaty and beautiful as the girls' have been. Because really, it's been a year in the making - completely real and honest, and we need more of that. Otalia has even beaten out my favorite couple on Primetime and Cable shows.

lol I believe it's As the World Turns that Noah/Luke. They've been good with them for the most part, too. I watched the pre-couple stuff and when they finally got together and I enjoyed all of that. It was well done.

haha I know, right? Not until recently did I get most of them straight. I was only familiar with ABC ones because I use to watch AMC for a couple years. Which btw, one of my fave actresses from AMC [who was half of the lesbian couple on their a couple years back] is on Y&R. Super jealous that she'll be around Muhney and vice versa.

See, that's just the thing... soaps hardly ever have legit relationships and THAT is what annoys me. I hate all the ridiculous hookups. That's why I'm watching Guiding Light now because they're actually putting a lot of care into the Olivia/Natalia storyline. It's so honest and practically every aspect of it has mirrored a moment in my life. It's actually throwing me off that a soap is doing something THIS good. lol Even with how they're handling the one woman's religious issues. There was a convo between her and her priest this week that was amazingly well done.

I had the same reaction. But then I realised that he has a family to support and had been out of work or a while and a full time job on a soap is a decent gig which still allows him time do other (read, interesting and indie) projects

I KNOW. Smokin' Aces was the first thing I saw him in and he was so icky in it and I still thought he was incredibly hot and the best part of that movie.
