Star Trek XII: The Starship Simterprise IV

It's morning on the bridge, and everyone's showing up for their shift, replacing the night shifters who man the bridge while the main crew sleeps.


Kirk is looking around, noticing that something's not right.


There's not enough people on the bridge, he thinks. Then it twigs. Where are Chekov and Sulu?


He goes to contact Sulu on the communicator. Sulu and Chekov are rarely late for their shifts, and Kirk's worried.


He can't reach Sulu on the communicator. Now he's really concerned.


Kirk asks Sulu's night replacement, Lieutenant Riley, where she thinks Sulu might be. She tells him that she thinks Chekov went to talk to Scotty about beaming down to the planet.
Kirk: My plan was to beam down during the day, damn it!


So Kirk takes a little trip down to the transporter room to confront Scotty.
Scotty: Now, don't get too upset...we were just kidding around...and...IbeamedSuluandChekovdowntothesurface.


Kirk....is upset.


Kirk: You did WHAT? Chekov has never even BEEN planet-side before! You lost my pilot AND my navigator!


Kirk stops himself from being angry, and goes straight to being concerned.
Kirk: You have to help me get them back!


So Kirk, Scotty and Gaila go to the transporter consoles to figure out what Chekov did, whether he and Sulu got planet-side safely, and where they might be.


Well, Kirk and Gaila are hard at work. Scotty might not be quite as dedicated.


Meanwhile, back in their cell, Sulu and Chekov are still watching TV.
