I LOVE SULU. I didn't think anybody else loved Sulu. I love Star Trek more than actual air.

It's because in the movie he didn't have much of a character beyond BADASSERY. Which, I LOVE his badassery, and I think of him as a bit of a Zoe-type character in his badassery, and that makes me happy.

um, badassery TOTALLY MERITS LOVE, FANDOM. love and sparkly tinhats. idk. i wish i could discuss this in-depth with you but i have not seen/do not actually have any interest in seeing the rest of the star trek franchise. all i can say of merit is: SULU/BADASSERY = OTP.

Sulu is almost as much of a non-character in the many episodes and movies he appeared in as he is in the new Star Trek movie. I think of him as stoic and kind of a daredevil. Like Zoe!
