You'd think after 3 viewings I'd stop crying.
I saw RotK with Misha, Phoebe, Clare and Yumi today and while I wasn't quite as bad as last time I still cried at Pippin's song, Sam's speech and Frodo leaving. And I sat right through the credits again. Has anyone noticed that in the TTT:EE credits they write "John Nogle" instead of "John Noble" in the second cast listing?
I was much more used to Denethor this time and was able to laugh at him a lot more. I was also veryvery tuned in to Dom's performance (gee, wonder why THAT could be?), and noticing the subtle things more. For instance, there are 3 times I can completely tell Pippin is being played by Fon--in fact one time, just after Aragorn goes to challenge Sauron at the Black Gate, she's not even wearing the mask. I also took more notice of the sound effects, editing etc., and the actors when they were reacting or standing in the background. Orlando likes to accentuate his cheekbones a lot, and Sean's really good at not being the centre of attention--he stays in character really well. Also, the first guy on the Oliphaunt could be really hot.
Tutoring this morning. Had to get up early for it and I didn't sleep until after 3, so I'm REALLY bloody tired. I may have a new tutoring job too :D:D MORE MONEY!!! I said I couldn't tutor next week and they didn't mind at all, which was nice.
Hmm. Interesting slash post here. My fiction is just made up of stories about two people in love. I try very hard not to include one of those "I'm bi" lines or something equally cliche, it's just about relationships--they could just like men or like men and women, but that won't be central to the story. All my favourite pairings are so boring too--they're all really common and quite well supported--so the whole unusual pairings thing doesn't apply. Which makes me think, because the original idea of slash was to write *uncommon* pairings, not necessarily same-sex ones, wasn't it? *shrugs* I mean, they call Brian/Justin "slash" and it's pure canon.
Speaking of which, Sam/Frodo is PURE FUCKING CANON, baby. And Rosie's a whore.
Also, on the topic of Sliders and quantum physics. I was thinking about my discussion with Tom, and I realised it's actually impossible for the Sliders to get back to *their* universe. Also, the Sliders we followed to the end were not the only original sliders, so by the time the lot *we* saw watched got to a home dimension, another lot may have gotten home before them and it won't be *their* home. Remind me to make this more clear sometime.
So fucking nervous about meeting Dom. On FRIDAY.

Anyways Im actually posting this message because I totally missed last weeks eppy of QAF, cos ED was supposed to tape it for me while I watched the Oscars, and her mom forgot to press the record button at 10. Anyways, she basically told me what happened, but if I could get a rundown from somebody who doesnt have a swiss cheese memory, that'd be great.
Also can you believe ED didnt even know you were going to see Dom on the weekend... She only found out when I mentioned it yesterday, how is that possible? Has she been living under a rock?!?!
