I watched the first episode of Psych tonight. It's really cute and fun. Dule Hill rocks my socks. I'm feeling very accomplished, I wrote out all my Christmas cards, although tomorrow I have to spruce up my resume and write a decent application letter for a job I really want :S Spent the entire day with Mitchell.

I feel so overwhelmed at the moment, I feel like there's a million things to be doing all the time. I have so much to do to get ready for the weekend!

I'm amazed at the way the Veronica Mars fandom is happy to let itself die out. Is it really so overrun by young people who were never Buffy or Firefly fans? It's been years since Buffy finished but it's still a large part of my life, it was absolutely defining for me and the idea of ever just allowing the fandom to disappear and not talk to all those great people and discuss the show is foreign to me. I don't see why the Veronica Mars fandom can't do the same.

This rant was partly brought on by the fact that I bought Seasons 1 and 2 from Amazon.com for $15 each and they arrived today. YAY. I finally own Veronica Mars on DVD!

Does anyone have a downloadable version of My Chemical Romance's new single? I can't believe I'm seeing them next week!!

I exist as an unpaid taxi service to my friends and family. Today Matt called at 5:55 pm saying he was stranded in Manuka and was supposed to be somewhere 20 minutes away at 6 and could I give him a lift? I filled the car with petrol last Wednesday and now have to refill it tomorrow. I don't have the resources for this, and I feel like I spend half my time ferrying people around.

Not having a phone is proving extremely stressful as well. I am aiming to get one tomorrow morning.

Today was good, melissajane14 was in town visiting so we hung out with her and then came and did her job with her for a bit.

Musings on Dean's masculinity - inspired by that line I hate from the most recent episode. That line really makes me want to get in touch with the show and rant about feminism and homophobia.

The most recent commercial for 'So You Think You Can Dance' also has me spitting nails. Apparently, according to this one, the finale features 'a HOT girl-on-girl dance' and a macho, manly showdown. Not a HOT boy-on-boy dance, a PISSING CONTEST, because they're MEN! MANLY MEN! Lesbian action and FIGHTING! Now, admittedly, I haven't seen the dances, but that doesn't make that advertisting any less overtly and infuriatingly unequal. Please don't tell me who wins.

All these posts make me wish I was doing NaNo this year. I've only done it once.

I went to Karaoke at Cube tonight and sang 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go' and 'Footloose'. I love 80's dance music. I can't dance to the techno crap they play now. It was really fun! Plus we won some bar money (drawn from a hat). I was still tired from the weekend, though, I swear I haven't been right all week.

Guess what I discovered tonight? The director of my favourite movie of the year choreographed 'Once More, With Feeling.' AWESOME.

Okay, in more amazing news from another genius creator, JK Rowling will be auctioning off a hand-written copy of Beedle the Bard. I really hope an actual fan gets it instead of a stupidly rich collector who won't share.

Heroes: Origins has been pulled. I think everybody's being way too impatient about season 2 of Heroes. Muhney said he didn't like it as much either. I don't know, I'm still willing to give it the benefit. I'm sad about Origins being delayed/pulled, I really was looking forward to it.
