This cartoon has been Baader-Meinhoffing me for the last few days, so I feel the need to post it.

(There's a better version of just the cartoon with awful subtitles that won't embed here.)

I think I fall in love with every a capella group a little bit. This is an amazing version of Grace Kelly - these guys are the Spizzwinks, later the Whiffenpoofs, and they also performed this on The Sing-Off with more showing off. Also, adorable version of I'm Yours.

They were also on The Sing-Off. I have a feeling that I would watch this show were I American. Before both of these they also did a low-budget performance that obviously went viral. All the guys who do solos in this are faaaaaaaaaabulous and I want their bad romance. (See what I said previously about a capella groups. Even aside from Darren, I think I would've taken to the Warblers veeeeery quickly.)

ETA:

I would definitely like this show.

Whiffenpoofs!!!! I loved them, they should not have left when they did. Also, The Sing Off is such an awesome show. It introduced me to the Beelzebubs who are the voices of the Warblers (minus Darren of course).

You should check out videos of The Committed. They were the winners for season 2.

The Bubs are awesome! Although I really want to hear more of the actors who play the Warblers doing their own a capella - the three second teasers of that Barbra Streisand performance were awesome, and they can sing in their own right.

I did, I just didn't like them as much as these guys. I guess it's just because it's a competition show, but there's an element to the judging that I'm not a huge fan of.

I do love The Sing-Off, so sad that it's only 6 episodes for the season because I would watch it every night. While checking out a capella groups, look for "Straight No Chaser" and see what you think. Here's my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea32jMT1MdA&feature=related

I actually haven't seen them live as much as I wish I could... they used to do weekly performances at the student union building, but I always had class, but they are fantastic performers in general. There are only one or two guys left in the group who were in it when I knew them... getting old, lol. The group was started by Peter Hollens (http://peterhollens.com/) awhile back, he's now go on to perform professionally. You might like him! :) He and his wife Evynne are both local(ish) performers and wonderful people.
