"A Potter musical would be intersting, wouldn't that be cool? Someone should do that at some point, I think it would be funny."

Just trollin'.

ETA: Also, today I had to buy a new fish tank because the old one sprung a leak, and I decided to get a new fish to go with it. He is mostly mottled grey and white. I have named him Commander Up. (My two pre-existing fish are called Bait and Switch - ten points for catching the reference.) I'm just hoping the new tank proves to be Puck-proof - he's already been getting up on the lid, which is not quite as sturdy as the old tank's lid.

He has been sick, but I don't think it's just that - combo of this, him talking about being a pushover, him telling how he really feels about that woman pulling him off-stage, and Lea telling about how he "plays" girls - it's very much dismantling the caricature people have of him which is in no way a bad thing. He's being honest, sometimes his enthusiasm is not genuine, it's just very sweet politeness - you can tell when it is and when it's not - and I'd rather him be honest, ESPECIALLY if it makes people realise what he's really like. Because I love him, snark, pissiness, ego and all, but a lot of people love the cartoon Darren and don't even pick up on when he's being the most real. I want people to love him, but I want them to love him for who he is.

The pushover one was the big thing for me. This has been obvious to me for a long time, that he puts on a good face 100% of the time and does what he's asked even when it isn't what he wants - this is the guy who did two performance events in one night because they were both for charities and he can't say no - but I've been shouted down a bit before for saying "he might not be into this 100%, he just has confrontation problems and can't say no." - I thought this was really obvious but other people act like he's the energizer bunny on speed by choice... so it was interesting to me that he admitted this and I will be interested to see what fandom makes of it.

Money.. I don't know. My rent isn't much, and I don't spend money on much... food, DVDs, that's kinda it. I save a LOT towards travel. It's pretty much the only thing I spend money on. I'm also having a garage sale this weekend!

I think there's elements of both. I mean, I think he really wants to take advantage of the opportunities he's getting right now, doesn't want to miss out on anything. Then again we could all be wrong, I wouldn't presume to judge. I just enjoy the fact that he exists.

My rent is high and I already got rid of a lot of stuff when I moved out. I swear I don't get paid enough for what I do, either. I've been looking at doing my taxes and I can't work out how they can take so much of my money :S I try to be good and I'm comparatively pretty frugal - I'm one of the more financially responsible people in my family - but I still never seem to have any money.
