I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight.

I know it's good. Visually it's stunning, the performances are good, and a lot of the lines had me just cracking up. But something in me stopped me from really getting invested in it - probably the fact that I just love the old film so damned much.

I was particularly put out when the kids all came out of the factory at the end. I always loved the uncertainty of their fates, so to see what happened to them kind of ruined things for me, as did the entire ending. I was feeling very WTF? towards the end there.

Saw it with Kathy, [livejournal.com profile] melissajane14, [livejournal.com profile] sherrif_topato and [livejournal.com profile] tuatha_de and then went to T&N's afterwards.

I've been a bit oversensitive lately, it's not good, I think it's to do with this uni stress thing. I'm easily upset and my emotions are all over the place. I don't see it getting better too quickly.

More about my day: Woke up with a KILLER HEADACHE FROM HELL this morning. Like, rolled out of bed and a wave of nausea hit. I had to go out and grab some Panadeine and then laid around in bed in pain for a while. Not so much fun.

Frances Bean Cobain.
