NOBODY talks in my tutorials, it's ridiculous. Am I the only person at university with working vocal chords? Maybe I'm just the only one who doesn't care about sounding stupid. Or, in the case of one of my classes, the only person in my class who's ever actually seen a musical before starting the course (the course is called The Politics of Dance/Musicals. WTF?)
Meanwhile, gorgeous guy wearing a Strokes T-shirt asked me to borrow a pen to sign the list in Shakespeare & Film class. I offered to let him use it throughout the class. He said it was very gracious of me and decided he was going to call me Grace from then on. Which he did. Am also the only person in class who hates Orson Welles. *shrugs*
What does my userinfo not say about me?

I know that feeling. Tutor asks a question, no-one answers, everyone looks around and then tutor looks at me and I feel so guilty I just blurt out whatever comes to mind. I can't stand awkward silences. And then people ask me "how do you know so much?" It's not that I know more (jeez, what do I know about medieval romance?), I'm just one of the few people who will open their mouths. Honestly, young people today. </old fogey-ism>

Hee! Everything reminds me of Lord of the Rings. Of course the really cool thing is my final essay for Medieval Romance is to compare an old Romance to a new and Lord of the Rings is one of the big mentions. I think my tutor did one of her degrees (either MA or PhD) on something to do with Lord of the Rings. I wonder if she's a ringer?
