NOBODY talks in my tutorials, it's ridiculous. Am I the only person at university with working vocal chords? Maybe I'm just the only one who doesn't care about sounding stupid. Or, in the case of one of my classes, the only person in my class who's ever actually seen a musical before starting the course (the course is called The Politics of Dance/Musicals. WTF?)

Meanwhile, gorgeous guy wearing a Strokes T-shirt asked me to borrow a pen to sign the list in Shakespeare & Film class. I offered to let him use it throughout the class. He said it was very gracious of me and decided he was going to call me Grace from then on. Which he did. Am also the only person in class who hates Orson Welles. *shrugs*

What does my userinfo not say about me?

Grace, huh? I guess he's just calling you by your married name, even though he doesn't know it. He probably has no idea how gorgeous your wife is.

I know that feeling. Tutor asks a question, no-one answers, everyone looks around and then tutor looks at me and I feel so guilty I just blurt out whatever comes to mind. I can't stand awkward silences. And then people ask me "how do you know so much?" It's not that I know more (jeez, what do I know about medieval romance?), I'm just one of the few people who will open their mouths. Honestly, young people today. </old fogey-ism>

I do the same thing. I say whatever's in my head to say, whether it's insightful or just something everyone's thinking or silly. I say that I don't like Orson Welles, and that I think the women in old movies become boring after falling in love, and that whatever we're talking about reminds me of Lord of the Rings. I also talk about the German Expressionistic style of Welles's Othello. Whatever I think of, I say.

Hee! Everything reminds me of Lord of the Rings. Of course the really cool thing is my final essay for Medieval Romance is to compare an old Romance to a new and Lord of the Rings is one of the big mentions. I think my tutor did one of her degrees (either MA or PhD) on something to do with Lord of the Rings. I wonder if she's a ringer?

it doesn't say that i dreamt about you tonight, and we were planning on getting drunk with some other students, and there was this guy you liked and he liked you but your evil best friend (???) had decided to snatch him away first by telling him you were a lesbian ... o.0

the dream made me especially happy because it was in English, and that's Good! :D
