I hate uni. It feels like it has no purpose. I worked for days on a presentation and then tonight figured out I'd been working on the wrong movie and tried to start a new one but it's on the densest movie in human history, and I haven't found a single review that isn't written by someone with the capability of using words with less than three syllables. I am going to have to pull out of this course. I have pulled out of too many courses and fucked over my degree far too much already. I don't even know how much of my poor parents' money I've wasted.

I've made an appointment with the university councillers for the 31st, which is alarmingly soon, but I may have to try and get a sooner one because I have never felt this close to crazy. Also, I have to make an appointment with an advisor and somehow explain to my lecturer that I can't take his class anymore on the day my presentation is due.

YAY.

ETA: Top five me. I need to get my mind off things.

I've dropped three of my courses this semester and I'm only left with Japanese, so I know what you're going through.

Just think that you're doing uni for YOU and you have the right to decide what you want to do. And don't think about the money - that only leads to more stress :P

Awwwwwww That is terrible. :( Is there any way you can talk to the professor so that they will let you do the first movie anyway?? Sometimes people are understanding and this may be a prefercne to dropping the course altogether.

As for my own curiosity, what is this dense movie you speak of? Citizen Kane? Dr Zhivago?

I had a read on imdb.com and the movie sounds interesting It could also come out completely dry and dull though from the sounds of it.

Oh Katie, don't worry so much. Lots of people love you and you can always take control and make it better. Let someone help you, like the counsellors. It will work out and you will figure out what it is you are supposed to be doing.

I'm sorry that school is so hard right now. I definitely have those weeks--months, even--but just know that, once it's done, what you will have accomplished will be totally worth it. I hope things improve, and you know you can call on me if you ever need anything.
