Golden Globe Nominations.

Evi? Really? I mean, I've been saying she's improved a lot and I'm liking Kate, but out of ALL the cast...oh well, good for her. And MASI! That's just awesome!!! Heroes & Lost & Entourage, yay!

Movies: Check out Maggie Gyllenhaal in the Best Actress in a Drama section, and Leo vs. Leo in Actor. CHEWY IN BEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY/MUSICAL WOOT. (He's also nominated in the TV section for something about the tsunami, because he is Awesome.) I guess Children of Men isn't really in the Oscar bunch. I had a feeling. Blah blah blah, Clint Eastwood, blah blah, I hope Scorcese finally fucking wins one.

Marky Mark Wahlberg should get Best Supporting for The Departed. He stole that movie.

I'm really excited that Greys Anatomy and Weeds have got nominations, I love those shows (plus Lost of course). I'm surprised that none of the male cast members of Lost have got nominations, I would have thought Terry deserved one at the very least.

Boo on Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey. I hate those two, bleh.

For me, these award shows are always a little disappointing because they *never* reward any of my favorites, and I pretty much don't watch most of the things that get nominated. I'll just be over here in my completely non mainstream corner, lol.

Yeah, I think her work this season particularly has been a HUGE improvement over season 1 and this nomination recognises that.

I guess I was as surprised as you when I realised Evi's the only one to be nominated! I pretty much expected Lost to be nominated as Best Drama Series again, but no Matthew Fox? No Terry O'Quinn? Or what about Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? No nomination at all except for Sarah Paulson? WTF? And where's BSG? And what's up with all the double nominations?
And the funniest nominations? Helen Mirren being nominated twice for playing a Queen Elizabeth...

BSG is never going to win one of these things. It's a Buffy show - beloved by anyone who knows shit about genre shows and ignored or marginalised by everyone else.
