Last night I watched Latter Days

The thing about Latter Days is, it shouldn't have worked as well as it did. It had a lot of gay movie cliches (and AMBER BENSON! who, has she been in a non-gay movie since Buffy? She is my hero. I LOVE HER) and it was cheesy, and one of the lead guys was kind of awkward and really dorky. But I swear, the third act ripped my heart out and laughed before finally taking pity on me. It took an unexpectedly dark turn and I guess the first two acts succeeded at getting me involved in the characters because, wow.
