I kinda just wanted to make this post because I laughed when I saw this question on the home page. Think they know the kinda people using LJ at all? I'm pretty sure most lists wouldn't include Serenity or BSG.

My favourite is Firefly, fyi. Star Trek is pretty awesome, but it cannot compare to Firefly, and I need to give it a good decade or so before I decide how it measures up against Star Wars. I also love Galaxy Quest. I really want to get that on DVD.

To give you some idea of stuff I've been getting up to today: I had no idea Mark-Paul Gosselaar's mother is Indonesian! I am so productive. I watched a lot of The Big Bang Theory, which cracks me up, I love it. Also cool is this gender-reversed Star Trek 2009 picspam.

Video of the Star Trek cast at William Shatner's...horse thing.

Player vs. Player reveals the truth behind Dollhouse's renewal.

Joss talks Dollhouse renewal, and so does Eliza.

Fox announces fall schedule, acknowledges Whedon fans. It may only be lip service, but I really do think that the Fox establishment have been trying hard not to repeat the Firefly mistake and actually might even care about Dollhouse. I had a little rant about that at Whedonesque. I'm not going to repeat it.

Fox's Dollhouse solicitation preview - spoilers about Paul, and who is returning. Looks like in spite of the scars Victor will be back as an active. I'm hoping for a miracle cure. Although maybe he'll replace Whiskey as Dr. Saunders...

On a related note, the first 'V' poster doesn't feature Alan Tudyk.

Precious Ryan Hansen interview. Spoiler for his role in Friday the 13th, which I forgot he was in. I really want to watch it just for him and Paddywhack, but I know that ended in tears (or at least copious fast-forwarding) with House of Wax. I've also only seen the pilot of Party Down. I like the people on it but I think it's a little too much awkward humour for me.
Oh, also, I saw him in the 80's episode of Gossip Girl, because my sister loves the show. Ryan does get typecast a tiny bit, but he's always so damn good at it.

'Lost' scoop: Juliet mystery (sort of) solved.

Interview with Christian Bale about Terminator: Salvation. That's another outstanding trailer. I really want to see that movie.

Penny Lane: Literal Video. LOL.

Icons: Fringe, Dollhouse, Lost, and because apparently I can't do a post without some, Star Trek and more Star Trek.

New poster for I Sell the Dead. LOL.

If I can give you an advice, avoid Friday the 13th! One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I'm still angy at it.

Fair enough. I mean, I KNOW it's going to be bad, but...five minutes of Ryan Hansen in a movie with Paddywhack!

I know, I had the same "motivation" to see it, but it's not worth it.
At least don't pay for it. :)

NBC also acknowledged the fans for Chuck's renewal! He said sth like, no one seemed to care about the other shows in the balance (Medium & Earl) so...
I know that it doesn't mean they won't cancel a show if they want to but it shows that passion doesn't go unnoticed? (TSCC fans would disagree I guess)

I'm definitely going to watch V as I used to watch the original as a kid ith my older brother AND it features many people I love!

TSCC was in a slightly different place. Also, we KNOW that sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, our favourite shows get cancelled. It's nice to know that they see us making the effort, though, and that it's a contributing factor, however small.

Every time I see a mention of Galaxy Quest I think of the part when Gwen and Taggert turn a corner and see the chompers, to which she clearly exclaims "Well F!CK THAT" and the voiceover is all "Well SCREW THAT." It's amazing how often lines from that movie come up. The mister and I went to a big box store on Sunday. By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings.

LOL there's a couple of places in the movie where you can see they pulled back to give it a PG rating. I always think of the miners and the big rock monster. "Miners, not minors!"

Alan's face when he says that. Priceless.

I love the literal video for Take on Me.

Good call on Victor-Whiskey... although I'd really miss Enver as Victor. I think he does the best at portraying an active in the wiped state.

I love that one too, it's hilarious. PIPE WRENCH FIGHT!

I'd miss him too, but I'd rather have him as the good doctor than not at all!!
