ETA: Matt Roush to Dollhouse fans: relax. Actually, I haven't been stressing at all about all this pre-show news. I am going to optimise this show into good ratings! Yes, that IS a word. He also makes excellent points about Pushing Daisies. I think everyone is far too invested in pairings on shows anyway, but this one is brilliant and the whole show is so wonderful and unique.

My life is so exciting. I had all these things I was going to do on my day off, but in the end I went on a Christmas shopping trip with my sister during which we spent about an hour and a half browsing vaguely while searching for the perfect iced tea-serving coffee shop for her and I bought a present for Luke. THAT'S IT. Then tonightmelissajane14 and Clare's friend came over and we watched Breakfast Club again. I love that whole movie right up until Ally Sheedy's makeover, at which point I rant about sexism and the movie upholding the slut/prude hypocrisy of teenage girls that it condemns.

Slayers no more - the curse of Buffy? Which is, you know, total bullshit. I reckon the Buffy cast are not only doing alright but doing well. And so do most of the commenters at Whedonesque, it would seem.

It doesn't mention that SMG's going to be in 'Southland Tales', which is being directed by Richard fucking Kelly (Donnie Darko, people) and it calls 'The Girls' Guide to Hunting & Fishing' a horror movie, when it's obviously a romcom. It labels Alyson Hannigan's RENEWED TV show 'struggling', can't actually figure out many negative things to say about David Boreanaz's career apart from 'These Girls' (I don't count the music video - What about Alan Rickman in Texas's 'In Demand'? Christopher Walken in 'Weapon of Choice'? Are they struggling?), and seems to be totally ignorant of ASH's new pilot and broadway roles (and the enormous popularity of Little Britain.) It can only be convincing about Nick Brendon, and managing a role in a show that even gets picked up (and was fairly good from what I've heard) can't really be considered a low. It also ignores all the other Buffy alums. It doesn't manage to make its point at all, so why even bother writing it?!
I did an assignment today, then took it to unit to hand it in where the PRINTERS DIDN'T WORK. Fuckers. So I didn't get it in by 5, the office was closed, and I'll get an extra weekend's deduction. Joy.
